All Sun Devils are invited to participate in ASU’s Change the World in March, offering an opportunity to present their art, idea pitches, performances and exhibits while networking and competing for prize money.
The annual Change the World event will be held on Wednesday, March 19 from 5-8 p.m. at Mountain America Stadium in Tempe, and is open to all students, families and community members.
If you have a Sun Devil who would like to participate, encourage them to apply online by the deadline of Friday, Feb. 28.
Change the World is an experience that celebrates the imagination, efforts and achievements of lifelong learners. View highlights of last year’s event at ASU. No idea is too small to join in this showcase of ideas. Students can participate in four different modes:
Art: Whether it's cinematography, graphic design, painting, photography, sculpting or other form, art can be powerful in whichever medium it is consumed! A table space or easel to display physical or digital artwork will be provided.
Pitch: Students are invited to pitch concepts in education, sustainability, business, engineering, healthcare, law, policy and more! Participants will have 3 minutes to present an idea inclusive of visuals.
Performance: Showcase talent in dance, music, poetry or spoken word to inspire fellow Sun Devils and the Change the World audience! All performers will have up to 10 minutes on stage.
Exhibit: Students may already be developing the next world-improving initiative! Use this opportunity to explain ventures, enterprises, visions or solution exhibits. A table space or easel will be available to display ideas, photos, prototypes or other work.
This year prize money is available for the top four ideas in each category up to $1,000. And additional prize money is available for specific topical ideas, such as health and sustainability up to $1,000. Many of the students will be able to get feedback on their work and have an opportunity to network with fellow students, employers and more.
Everyone is welcome to attend Change the World. Admission is free and food and refreshments will be available at Mountain America Stadium.
