Some people shine the brightest when they’re on the big stage. ASU is looking for students who embrace that kind of spotlight to audition for the exciting role of emcee for Sun Devil Welcome in August.
During this high-energy event at Sun Devil Stadium, incoming students experience an infusion of maroon-and-gold spirit, pride and tradition with help from Sun Devil Athletics, the marching band, spirit squad members, Sparky and ASU President Michael Crow. One or more Sun Devils will get the honor of taking the mic to lead this high-energy event from the stage on Frank Kush Field.
Any returning undergraduate ASU students are invited to audition online for the role of Sun Devil Welcome emcee. In three minutes or less, students are asked to show their Sun Devil pride in an audition video and submit it for consideration by Friday, April 7 at 12 p.m.
Applicants will be asked to complete a short form, which includes instructions on how to upload the audition video. After reviewing applications and videos, ASU New Student Programs will contact students for an in-person meeting.
Sun Devil Welcome 2023, a premiere event for new students during ASU Welcome, will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 15. Infernofest, a free concert for all Sun Devils, immediately follows the welcome event.
