Congratulations to College of Health Solutions Associate Teaching Professor Maureen McCoy!
McCoy has been honored by ASU's Committee for Campus Inclusion with a Catalyst Award recognizing her excellence in inclusion, innovation, initiative and impact on community for her work as the faculty advisor for ASU's Pitchfork Pantry, the on-campus food pantry for all students.
She says, "We seek to connect all students to a sustainable, adequate, and nutritious diet. As our charter states that we are measured by whom we include, in order to include all of our students, we also need to ensure that all have equal access to nutritious food."
McCoy and members of the pantry student leadership team recently celebrated the donation of a dairy fridge from the Dairy Council of Arizona, which allows the pantry to provide fresh, cold milk and dairy products at its Tempe location.
