Congratulations to College of Health Solutions graduate student Symone Griffith! Symone, who studies population health, has been named the 2023 Graduate Student Award Winner by the Society of Toxicology's Ethical, Legal, Forensics and Societal Issues Specialty Section.

Symone conducts research on cannabis use and contaminant exposure in patients with Parkinson's disease in the Laboratory for Environmental Health Implications of Cannabis, directed by ASU School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences Assistant Professor Maxwell Leung at the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences on ASU's West campus.

She says, "To me, receiving this award in my first year of the program means that I am making moves in the right direction and making all of my friends and family proud. I hope that I can continue to improve every year and make more and more strides to improve the safety of cannabis."
