FAFSA time! Several great resources to help your student apply for ASU financial aid

It’s that time of year for students to fill out their FAFSA (also known as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The annual FAFSA opens in December, and for Sun Devils it’s important to file by ASU's priority date of Jan. 15 because aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

All current and incoming students are required to file the FAFSA to be eligible for financial aid, grants and many need-based scholarships. Visit ASU’s FAFSA application page for more information on the process, including an infographic on the filing steps, details on what documents you’ll need and more.

Another awesome free resource for Arizona college students is Ask Benji, a financial aid website that features the digital chatbot Benji to answers your questions about FAFSA and related topics. Ask Benji is supported by a partnership of several Arizona educational institutions, including ASU. More information on Financial Aid and Scholarships is available on the ASU Financial Aid website.

And since you can’t have too much information to help the financial aid process go smoothly, feel free to check out additional resources at studentaid.gov. The site features helpful information and articles, such as Things You Need for FAFSA.

Does my ASU senior need to complete a new FAFSA form? She will graduate in May 2022.
