Fall on the ASU campus is brimming with spirit and pride!
The Sun Devil community will celebrate the annual tradition of Homecoming during the week of Nov. 13-19, featuring a wide range of events culminating in the Parade, Block Party and the ASU home football game on Saturday, Nov. 19.
The theme for ASU Homecoming 2022 will be Devils Through the Decades. Many of the activities are free and designed for students, families, alumni, staff and members of the greater community.
Here are some highlights of the events:
Sparky's 5k/10k and the Retro Retake Carnival, Sunday, Nov. 13: Music, lawn games, carnival rides and the 5K and 10K races will be held from 3-8 p.m. at West campus in this annual event hosted by ASU West PAB and Sun Devil Fitness and Wellness. Families and community members are welcome to register.
Lantern Walk, Friday, Nov. 18: Continuing an ASU tradition that dates back to 1917, students, alumni, Sparky and friends will climb to the top of "A" Mountain carrying lanterns to light up Tempe. Lantern Walk will begin at the base of Tempe Butte with DJ music at 6 p.m.
Homecoming Parade and Block Party, Saturday, Nov. 19: Kicking off in the morning at 9 a.m., this grand tradition will feature an array of floats from Sun Devil clubs and organizations, academic colleges, community organizations, and the ASU Marching Band parading through Tempe.
Beginning after the parade, the Block Party is a free, festival-style event on the Tempe campus that is open to the public. There will be more than 100 tents with something for everyone — and people of all ages — to explore.
ASU Football Game, Saturday, Nov. 19: The Homecoming Week excitement will wrap up with the ASU Football game vs. Oregon State at Sun Devil Stadium. Ticket purchase is required to attend the game. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:15 p.m. Arizona time.
A host of other exciting events for current students are planned for Homecoming Week, including the 90s Rock Dance on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 7-10 p.m., at the Sheraton Downtown Phoenix; the Comedy Show on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 7-9 p.m., Tempe campus; Devils Royale, Thursday, Nov. 17, 8-11 p.m., Polytechnic campus; and International Night on Friday, Nov. 18, 8 p.m., Tempe SDFC Fields.
