Now that your Sun Devils have settled into a fall semester routine, they may be thinking about getting out of their comfort zone to make new friends and find activities outside the classroom. And even though the pandemic has changed how things look around campus, there are still many opportunities for ASU students to get more involved and engaged.
So where do your students start? Here’s a handy list of ways to find new involvement opportunities:
SunDevilSync: Whatever students are passionate about, odds are there’s a student organization that align with their interests. SunDevilSync is a hub where students can search for groups, learn about upcoming meetings and events, join list-servs and find social media links to follow clubs and organizations.
SDFC Virtual Activities: Sun Devils can join the student staff from the Sun Devil Fitness Complex for a variety of wellness and fitness activities each day. Virtual workouts, podcasts, game nights and more are all part of the fun.
Student Events: Student leaders and organizations continue to develop programs for new and returning students, with exciting activities happening every day.
Programming and Activities Board: PAB is one of the largest and most exciting groups on campus. Consisting of multiple departments that plan activities and events in various areas of interest, PAB is committed to providing ASU students with the best experience possible through innovative programming and involvement opportunities.
Student and Cultural Engagement: One of the best ways to get involved is to explore ASU’s diverse cultural community. Student and Cultural Engagement promotes the development of Sun Devil Culture through self-expression, learning, and heritage with a formation of an ASU culture rooted in inclusion, individual experience, community values, and the Sun Devil Way.
Undergraduate Student Government: USG is a student organization and advocacy group that represents ASU students on a university, city, and state level. USG also provides many services to students including Safety Escort and Bike Co-op. Students can become interns in the fall, run for a senate position or executive position in the spring, or apply to be a director in the spring.
Drop in Support Circles: Run by ASU Counseling or the Council of Religious Advisors (CORA), there are general sessions and others for identified populations. All CORA offerings are focused on hope and general faith principles.
Devils 4 Devils: These student-led support circles happen every day of the week and are designed to help Sun Devils get connected and make new friends while practicing physical distancing.
