Every month we spotlight one of our wonderful families whose generosity and dedication have helped make Barrett, The Honors College the place it is today. This month, we center around the Smith Family, which includes three Barrett alums – Susan Bitter Smith ’77, Prescott Smith ’06, and Windsor Smith ’16.
The Smith Family is the first to create an endowed scholarship under the 25 by 25 Scholarship Program at Barrett, The Honors College.
The Smith Family Study Abroad Scholarship will provide funds to make study abroad more affordable for Barrett students. The Smiths said their own study abroad experiences led them to want to help students with overseas travel expenses.
Barrett, The Honors College is on a quest to establish more scholarships like the Smith Family Study Abroad Scholarship to expand access and opportunity for students.
