Get your blanket ready to sit on the grass and enjoy your favorite films on the big screen under the stars this fall. ASU 365 Community Union is bringing back its popular Movies on the Field series inside Sun Devil Stadium beginning in September.
Free to ASU students, families and the public, Movies on the Field will kick off with a screening of “In the Heights,” on Friday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. Register at ASU 365 Community Union to get your free tickets for the event.
“In the Heights” is a musical movie from Lin Manuel-Miranda, the creator of “Hamilton,” and Jon M. Chu, the director of “Crazy Rich Asians.” In Washington Heights, N.Y., the scent of warm coffee hangs in the air just outside of the 181st St. subway stop, where a kaleidoscope of dreams rallies a vibrant and tight-knit community. At the intersection of it all is a likable and magnetic bodega owner who hopes, imagines and sings about a better life.
ASU's Clear Bag Policy will be in effect, however blankets and seat cushions are allowed and encouraged. Accessible seating areas will also available. Concessions will be open. No outside food or drink allowed. Learn more about how to register online.
